Sayuri Fukazawa

Sayurihad leapt onto the bed, more then a little bit tipsy as she swapped the remote from the bedside table with the can of beer she had been holding. She had to wonder what sort of television programming Kumogakure had to offer. There was the usual soap opera dribble and some ridiculous Super Sentai show called 'Akira-kun: Ninja Detective', which she skipped past in disgust, uncertain what sort of brainless twit would actually sit there and watch it. Sayuri skipped through the channels as she cracked the can of beer beside her.

She stopped at on a channel with poor signal as she noticed even through the distortion that it was a clearly tournament of some sort. She was certain that she had seen the fighting styles used by both competitors. She cracked her beer and took a sip, cursing the crappy signal the TV was picking the channel up with. With a resigned sigh she clicked over to the Global Ninja Network to see the replays of Kiri's Chuunin exams, plumping up the pillows and settling down to watch the students fight it out for their promotions.

Sayuri had no idea at what stage she had drifted off to sleep but she was woken abruptly from Hiro barking savagely at the window. Sayuri yawned and stretched as she climbed out of dead. Shaking her can of beer to see how much was left, she down the remnents of the beverage before to moved to the window and collected Hiro into her arms. She opened the window and peaked outside to see what had disturbed him.

She paused when she heard the screaming that had obviously disturbed her pup. As she pondered what the hell was going on, she saw a strike of lightning explode above the village as if it were a signal flare. Curious as to what could cause such a comotion, Sayuri ran over to her things and collected her sealing scroll from her belonging, unrolling it out the window and activating it. Her kite and scythe sprang forth with a puff of white smoke, being grabbed by the Kitsune as soon as they appeared. Without even bothering to change from her chibi fox print pajama's she dove out the window, her scythe in one hand and cradling Hiro in the other, landing on top of the war kite as it hovered there.

"Let's go Hiro, time to see whose causing all the racket", Sayuri told the fox pup as she set him on the kites surface. The kite sped off in the directions of the screams, Sayuri keeping it up high above the village buildings so as not to be easily spotted. One of her team mates was obviously already engaging or engaged in combat, hence the signal flare, she guessed. Her war kite puttered at full speed toward where the lightning flare had gone off, hoping they were still close by.

Taragi Hisogi

The attack was a good one, but it wasn't as certain as Haru would think it was. The Lightning Armor was making him fast, but the Jashin was moving at an incredible speed as well. As soon as Haru landed in front of the man, he performed a leap, kicking off the wall of a building nearest him before landing behind Haru and continuing to run off. The man shot back a single look at Haru, one of his eyes giving a strange glow as it caught some light.

The man continued to sprint off, his rags moving out from under him. As they made their way to a main street, the lights started to expose what was so strange about the man. Haru would see it first as he was right on the man's tail. One of the man's legs looked normal, while the other seemed burned, twisted, and scarred beyond any sort of recognition. The fast that the man was running as fast as he was with it was a miracle in itself. Haru would notice the arms were the same as well, one was normal while the other wasn't.

The Jashinist sprinted forward as a shinobi got in his path. The ANBU swung a katana at the man before the Jashinist leaped up and landed on the blade itself. The ANBU barely had time to look surprised before the Jashin launched a kick, snapping the man's head back as a loud snap rang through the air. The Jashinist continued to run forward, a twisted snarl on his face as he started to zigzag through various alleys and corners, believing that he was close to losing his pursuers.

Haru Sato

"Spritely fucker, aren't'cha." Haru scoffed as his leg pick was jumped over. This guy for all of his deformities had skill. That made him a serious opponent in Haru's eyes. Someone so skilled was most likely fairly adept at not only dodging but other things.

It didn't take the blonde shinobi another half second to form a plan for getting insight into this guys abilities. Turning Haru drew a short string of hand seals, and pushed a palm forward with a hand, forth from Haru's hand would shoot a blue lance with a long tail, streaking through the air right at it's target, it's course a quick zig-zag back and forth.

This was Storm Release: Sidewinder a homing technique, beyond homing it was also fast and would dodge mundane interception, not to mention terrain. It would force the guy to reveal his hand a little early, to a fairly low level technique.

After launch the technique would be self guiding, relegating Haru to play catch-up. He wanted to end this here and now. Before anyone else got hurt.

Sayuri Fukazawa

The war kite wasn't a slouch, especially not with the amount of chakra Sayuri was dumping into it, and quickly came into sight of the ongoing battle. Haru was being Haru and firing off missile like beams of chakra after a retreating man. Hiro wagged his tail when he saw Haru, while his 'mother' began to perform handsigns as she felt the need to catch up. Turning around to face the rear of the kite Sayuri took a deep breath in and held it for several seconds.

With an exhale, Sayuri breathed a collumn of fire behind the kite as she put her Fire Release: Fire Fox Flamethrower technique to good use. The weightless kite suddenly rocketed forward as she sustained the projection of flames. Hiro yelped and fell over on the surface as he wasn't prepared for the sudden acceleration it produced. The Kitsune flew over Haru's head as he started sprinting after his opponent again, gaining altitude to fly over the top of the buildings when the man tried to lose the Shinobi through the alleyways. It didn't matter how much he zig zagged through the village, he wasn't getting away from Sayuri's birds eye view.

Sayuri exhaled the last of her flames as she let her kite rocket along under its own power, looking down as she came over the man Haru had been pursuing. She resigned herself to waiting until Haru's homing technique ran out of steam or was defeated before she engaged. The last thing she wanted was to get a beam full of chakra to the face.

The Jashin turned his head as he sensed chakra behind him. He saw that the technique was coming in fast, he was going to have to do something a little crazy in order to avoid it. Using all of his strength, just before the beam hit the Jashin he threw himself in to the side of the building he was running next to, his strength smashing the wall as the technique barely flew past him. The Jashin seemed unphased as he continued his retreat. He moved up the stairs of the home, ignoring the residents that were clearly startled and afraid of the man that just busted in.

It would only be a few seconds later that Sayuri would see the man reappear on the rooftops, traveling quickly as he moved from building to building. Sayuri would also see that he was heading straight towards the edge of the village, apparently believing that removing himself from the village was his only escape now. And right now, unless someone did something soon it seemed like this psychopath was going to live to kill another day.

Haru Sato

It wasn't very surprising that the man relied again on agility to evade the attack, though such a move was possible by an experienced combatant, and the fact that the man knew that it would take more than just a last second dodge, or an intercept to stop the attack, meant the man was also very learned. It would also place Haru in the last place for trying to catch the man.

"Where the hell is Hisogi." Haru asked scanning around him for the man, as the rocket powered kite sped overhead. "Well there's Sayuri..." Haru trailed off before picking up the pace, this time not using his lightning armor, instead saving his chakra for the confrontation, It was a little overkill if Sayuri could catch up and hold the man down for Haru to close in and finish him.

Still it wasn't too much for him to handle again, this was his village, and the Jashinist wasn't anyone he recognized, meaning that Haru had the home turf advantage, and he would use it, to close in on the man, using alleys, gaps, and even maintenance accesses to close on the man as he moved through the town, using a fire escape as a ladder to climb his way to the roof after the man.

He was an agile combatant, most likely Chakra enhanced in some fashion, given his disabilities. Meaning that the longer the chase went the more worn down the man would be. Meaning the man might do something quickly to end the pursuit, either stand off or shake his pursuers: Haru wasn't about to let the ladder happen.

Sayuri Fukazawa

"Hey ugly!", Sayuri yelled as she leapt from her Kite, performing a rapid succession of handsigns as she fell.

The instant she hit the rooftop the man Haru had been chasing was darting across, a clouds of smoke started to appear all around the man. It only took a quick couple of seconds for the smoke to clear before anyone could see what the Kitsune had done. On multiple rooftops around them, hundreds of Sayuri's stood as part of her shadow clone jutsu technique.

The clones stood there, in the same chibi fox print pajama's Sayuri was wearing, looking bored as they just seemed oblivious to the presense of the man. Several sat there filing their nails, while others fixed their make up in the mirrors of their compacts, which were shaped like fox heads. Several walked around asking other clones if they had any booze, another group played poker on the ground. None of them seemed overly interested in what was going on, not that it mattered, as they were everywhere around the man, blocking his path. The real Sayuri, meanwhile, had been lost amongst the sea of clones.

"Ya got any three's?", One of the card playing Sayuri's asked, to irritated looks from her fellow players.

"We're playing poker you bimbo!", another of the Sayuri's scolded as she smacked her counterpart up the back of the head.

"Do these pajama's make me look fat?", A Sayuri asked, walking up to a clone who was checking her make up.

"No... But might wanna do up a few more buttons before the twins pop out...", The Sayuri quipped turning back to her reflection in the mirror, making the other Sayuri blush and do up a couple more buttons.

"Sayuri party-party! Sayuri party-party!", a group of them sang as they danced to the rythme of their singing.

"Haru! Just in time to see us kick ass!", the clones toward the back of the line yelled out in unison, turning around and beamed big cheeky smiles at him. They parted slowly to make a small aisle for Haru to walk down, so he could get toward the man standing in the middle of the insanity...

The Jashin skidded to a halt as he saw the cloud appear in front of him. As it cleared, his eyes widened as he realized the predicament he had placed himself in. "Shit" he mumbled as he realized that he should have kept running. Now that he stopped, he was in a bad situation. HE was now caught between a rock and many hard places. Still, he couldn't stop now. He had to get to that gate.

"AHHHHHH!" The Jashin screamed mightily as his eyes just seemed to turn pure white. He charged forward, but now his speed seemed to have increased even more. He charged right in to the mod of Kitsune, not caring what he had to do. He started fighting like a brawler, swinging his arms wildly and lashing out at any clone that got near him. He was fighting more like an animal than a man. The Jashin was impressively taking out several clones as he tried to push forward, but they were slowing him down, and the Jashin's back was now exposed to Haru as he fought off the clones around him.

Haru Sato

It could be called the sigh of the century as Haru took in all of the female indignity around him that was the swarm of Sayuri clones. It was like a mountain of slovenly charmless women. Haru would stop and plant his face into his palm but there were other matters that caused him to not bother with such a disapproving action as that. Namely the Jashinist that'd stopped to do the same thing... apparently.

Haru wouldn't bother letting his exasperation get in his way, as he powered through each leap and bound closing the distance as all of the clones decided to swarm their target.

This however would give Haru an opening. Reactivating his Lightning Release Armor, Haru charged the man at full speed, his attack would be one of the Raikage's favorite techniques, Reverse Lariat. There would be enough force to bring down a bull elephant.

Sayuri Fukazawa

As soon as the Jashin leapt into action, the army of Kitsune's dropped what they were doing to retaliate as their opponent began to brawl his way through clone after clone. Several continued to engage him while the rest split off into combat groups, reinforcing weakened sections of the blockade as the Jashin tried to desperately break his way through. His attacks were effective but the clones were starting to adapt as they moved in, closing the space the Jashin had to work with as the clones started to use waves to try and physically batter him with taijutsu.

If she was truly the monster Hisogi thought she was, then she was determined to at least show what her hideous amount of stolen chakra could do. More clones start to spring into existence as the Kitsune refused to relent against the fellow monster. There wasn't a chance in hell she was going to be bested by some devil worshiper... Especially not in front of Haru. She knew she'd never live it down otherwise.

"YOU'RE NOT GETTING THROUGH US!", the Sayuri clones yelled at the Jashin in unison as the mayhem of clones endeavored to chip away at their opponent slowly, doing their best to keep him from moving forward to much. Some of them even attempting to jump on him and grab at his clothes in an effort drag him down to the floor.

The Jashin continued his assault, fighting like the madman he was, punching, kicking, and scratching up any clone that got in his way. "MOVE!" the Jashin screamed. It was at this time the clones began to jump on him, attempting to hold him down. For a moment the Jashin couldn't even be seen. However, a sudden chakra spike filled the air as the Jashin sent out a chakra blast from all around his body, blasting the shadow clones back. It was a good move, but the clones easily did their job as it held the man long enough for Haru to strike. The Jashin barely saw it coming, and he couldn't stop it.

The blow made full contact and full force, sending the Jashin flying back. Gravity pulled him to the roof, causing his face to skid against the stone ground until the Jashin hit the edge. Sayuri and Haru would see a trail of blood from where the Jashin skidded all the way to where he stopped. For a few moments the Jashin didn't move.

The Jashin first pushed up with his hands before pulling himself up. When he turned around, the two shinobi would be horrified to see that most of the skin covering his face seemed to ahve peeled away, exposing both muscle and skull. Instead of showing pain though, the Jashin just laughed.As if he was the most advanced medical shinobi of his time, the Jashin's face started to stitch and grow back together, skin and blood moving back to where they were supposed to be as his face became whole again. "You think that can scare me!?" he shouted. "It's about time I start showing you what you're realy-"

But the Jashin didn't finish his sentence as an arrow show through him and stuck in to the roof beneath him. A thick rope was attached to the arrow, and at the end of the rope was an ANBU holding it. The boy appeared to be only sixteen, quite the young age to be an ANBU, and a captain by the looks of it. "GO GO GO!" the ANBU shouted. Appearing out of nowhere, various shinobi appeared, each with a bow similar to the one their leader was using. Each arrow hit their mark and roped through the Jashin. Finally, the shinobi all moves, using their ropes to wrap around the victim and hold him in place. "That's it...we got him!" the leader shouted as the Jashin struggled to move against the sheer number and thickness of the ropes.

The ANBU leader shouted an order for the prisoner to be moved, as he was escorted away by the ten ANBU that had shot him. The man turned and walked towards the two detectives. "Excellent work, you held him long enough for my men and I to catch up...I'll make sure proper credit is bestowed upon you. Very few people would run after a Jashin, the Raikage will hear and reward you for your efforts," he said before extending his hand. "Yaiba Konyou, a pleasure to meet you both."

Yaiba glanced back as he saw the Jashin being taken away. "You know...it wouldn't feel right to cut you out now," the blue haired shinobi said as he looked towards the detectives. "How would you like to help us with his interrogation? You know, figure out why he chose his targets like they did?" he suggested. "We're taking him to a safe house not far from here. I can also send a few of my men to get your third partner to join us if you wish."

Haru Sato

The Jashinist started regenerating as Haru was preparing to hit him again, this time with a higher level technique. He was willing to push this man to the limit of his regeneration. But it seemed unnecessary as the ANBU stepped in and captured the Jashinist.

Dismissing the technique by dropping his hands to his sides but still watching the Jashinist as the ANBU controlled and coralled him to the destination they wanted him to go.

This felt too damn easy.

It was also hard for Haru to admit to his companion that there was something she did well. He looked over his shoulder to Sayuri having turned to watch the ANBU do their thing, "Good job." He praised in little more than a whisper, he didn't want the victory to go to her head. His gut told Haru this wasn't over by a long shot.

"Thank You." Haru turned to the ANBU Captain that approached them, "We would appreciate it on both counts." There was something wrong, ANBU had been doing its best to glean leads from them so far. Why come forward and play buddy-buddy now? Something about this whole things smelled wrong.

Sayuri Fukazawa

"Yeah! Get 'im Haru!", the Sayuri's shouted, the remainder of them recovering slowly from the burst of chakra that had knocked them all away.

Haru hit the Jashin hard by her team mates vicious attack. Sayuri smiled as she watched the Jashin skid along the roof, leaving a blood trail the entire way. If she hadn't seen worse in her 50 years as a kunoichi, she might have cringed at the brutality but instead revelled in his defeat.

Despite her few seconds of victory, the Jashin laughed off the horrific injury as he displayed a power that Sayuri had never seen herself. His face seemed to slowly knit itself back together rendering the near fatal jutsu mute as it left him once again unharmed. Sayuri stared in amazement at the sight, wondering if this was the true power of the Jashin. If it was, she was curious in the ability, was it something teachable? The great Kurama could regenerate in such a way so the stories told, so she could only dream the kind of power a Kitsune with that ability would have.

Sayuri's delusions of grandeur were interupted by an arrow suddenly spearing through the Jashin and pinning him to the ground. Several more fired one after another, ripping through the Jashin's body and anchoring him. Sayuri's cloned burst leaving only the Jashin, Haru, the Kitsune herself and the wave of ANBU who stormed in for the defeat. When the clones were all gone she wasn't sure if she was mistaken or not, but Sayuri was almost positive that Haru had whispered "Good Job" to her. She was sure of it, her ears never lied. With a big cheeky smile and a wink, Sayuri gave Haru the sign of peace before saying back much louder, "You weren't to bad yourself Haru!".

Once the ANBU had secured the Jashin, Sayuri's attention fell upon the boy before them, the leader of this team by his demeanor.

"I am honored Captain to be at your service", Sayuri replied, a little to modest to be what she was really thinking.

"Yeah, before we go though... I need a change of clothes", Sayuri commented as she picked at the sleeve of her pajama's that she'd fought this whole battle in. If she was going to do any interogating, it was probably better if she didn't do it in chibi fox print pajama's.

Yaiba nodded as both of the detectives seemed to agree that their participation was still needed as they went forward with the case. They were going to get a confession from this Jashin. Sure, everyone had seen him try and murder the woman, but that didn't necessarily connect the man to the other murders. They were going to have to push him in order to get a confession out of him "Please follow me"

They moved through the city, taking only a few minutes to get through to a nearby safe house that the ANBU frequently used for some of their...less desirable interrogations. It appeared to be a simple home, but upon entering it, they were led to a backroom where a rug covered a secret passage that led down in to tunnels carved in to the mountain. There was no telling how long they truly went on for.

Yaiba was just explaining the lead he wanted to take in the interrogation when an ANBU quickly approached them. "Captain Kongou! Urgent news," the man said before going on. "The Jashin has spoken to his handlers. He said that he'll only talk in the presence of the detectives. He claims it to be time sensitive regarding...their companion," the ANBU finally said.

Yaiba shot a concerned look towards Haru and Sayuri. "The men that we sent to find him, nothing?" Yaiba asked quietly. The ANBU only shook his head, reporting that they had not been able to find Hisogi for some time.

Yaiba turned towards the two. "Get in there and get him talking. I am NOT going to allow him to play us like this. Get him talking, I want to know what he's done with Hisogi," Yaiba urged before coming towards a door that was surrounded by various seals. The chakra that protected the entrance was strong. "If he'll only talk to you I'll allow it, but I'm going to ask that you report anything he says to me. Upon entering here all forms of communication are blocked off, including electronic. We've left him restrained but....use your own judgment."

Upon entering the room, Sayuri and Haru would be presented to an earthy room with only a single table and a few chairs. The Jashin was tied tightly to the chair, apparently unable to move from his spot. Along with the ropes that were used earlier, there was a chain and large shackle wrapped around his neck. Haru would recognize the kind of metal that was used in order to suppress someone's chakra.

"Ah, and here they are. Just when I thought the two of you were going to leave...so glad you decided to stay," the Jashin said with a coy, mocking smile.

Haru Sato

Haru's right eyebrow raised when news of Hisogi's apparent capture reached them. He didn't want it to be connected to the Jashinist, he wanted the man to have found a lovely Kumo woman and got drunk for a night. But Haru knew that wasn't the case.

"Sayuri, I hope you can play good cop." Haru scoffed, pushing by the ANBU agent and into the room, as Yaiba talked about judgement.

There would be Judgement.

Haru's response as the first in the room would be fairly quick and pointed to the man's coy smile. He wasn't in a mood to play. He was very very angry.

The Jashinist would receive a cross to the face that would nearly unbolt the chair from the place it had been secured to the floor. "Forget what you think you know." Haru warned pulling back his fist slowly and examining it. "You're going to answer for your crimes. Don't ever doubt it for a second. And no God is going to save you from me." Haru threatened looking down at the man. The next time he opened his mouth Haru's fist would fill it.
