Being given the same name as your ‘elder’ twin can be a little rough, especially when your older sister inherited your family’s birthright and you did not. Not wanting to be left behind in her older twin’s shadow, the younger twin instead took up a differently unique advantage and studied hard in the ways of the storm element with her incredible balance of water and lightning chakra.
It wasn’t exactly what her parents had desired, but the two sisters worked well together as a team even if they weren’t allowed to be together most of the time. While her sister moved forward to become a protector of the Xi clan’s secrets, she herself skewed off to become a bounty hunter.
Never one to take anything seriously, she held tightly to her naïve and childish demeanor as she traveled the land and took in its sights. She never really hit it big, but she did at least keep up enough money to keep herself alive. Once she and her sister met true Ukime, however, everything changed for the better!
Kari was one of the few selected to receive a large portion of Ukime’s power. As such she has become a being of pure chakra, though metal objects have been proven to gravely wound her as the material siphons off her inherent lightning chakra at which point she has to take the time to generate more. A means to actually kill her has not yet been found making her, for all intents and purposes, immortal.
It has been shown that when she and her sister cross blood they each gain a portion of the other’s ability. Whether this is unique or possible with any Ukime is currently unknown.
